Deaf Athletes In Sports Foundation
Deaf Athletes In Sports Foundation (DAIS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established to create an inclusive environment where d/Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and CODA athletes can develop skills, confidence, and community in sports. DAIS mission is to remove barriers in youth sports by providing access, inclusion, and opportunity for d/Deaf and Hard of Hearing Athletes.
Many Deaf children are excluded from sports due to communication barriers and high costs. DAIS raises funds to provide ASL interpreters and hearing assistive technology to d/Deaf and Hard of Hearing youth athletes in Massachusetts. We have a future goal of being able to support d/Deaf and Hard of Hearing athletes across the US.
To engage, promote, and support the mutual interests of the Deaf community.
