DREAMWAVE Advocates Movement Alliance, Inc.

DREAMWAVE Advocates Movement Alliance is a Deaf-led nonprofit based in Charles Town, West Virginia, advancing communication access, disability equity, and systemic reform statewide. The organization engages in policy advocacy, community education, leadership development, and cross-sector collaboration to address barriers impacting Deaf, DeafBlind, Hard of Hearing, and disabled individuals across education, healthcare, employment, and public services. DREAMWAVE focuses on sustainable structural change while strengthening community capacity and accountability.

As part of its long-term strategy, DREAMWAVE is developing Handwave Interpreting as an initiative to build and strengthen the interpreting pipeline in West Virginia. This includes education, mentorship, professional development, and advocacy to expand qualified interpreting access and promote ethical, community-centered language services statewide.
